Aruba Golf Club is the oldest golf course on the island.
Actually founded in 1939, its present layout was opened in 1941 by L.G. Smith one of the most important LAGO- employees.
After LAGO left in 1986 the course was given to local people and the course became a desert golfcourse because there was no sufficient income to maintain the course.
The course is still running and a lot of local people enjoy the game there in the weekend. It is also open for tourists and is really an adventure! Aruba Golf Club is specially known for the burrowing owl. The club tries to have a relationship with this special bird. We are proud to say that more then 20 couples(they are for life) live on our course. So come to San Nicolas and experience this special place!
