Designed about ten years ago by Bristol-based Terry Murray, the Guadiana and Atlântico courses are the most mature of the three courses, with fairways surrounded by an alignment of graceful pines.
The fields teem with wildlife, especially partridges in the winter months.
The fields are characterized by fast and true greens , many of them in elevated areas and protected by bunkers , inviting high tees and fairways that take carved doglegs on slopes.
The Grouse is the newest of the nine-hole courses with the most far-reaching views of the inland mountains. Although it only opened to the public in 2008, it has developed quite satisfactorily. It has a sloping terrain with fewer trees than the other two fields. The fields teem with wildlife, including wild boar, birds and rabbits.
Some lucky owners have even seen the elusive Iberian lynx in the Grouse field during training at dawn. The Guadiana countryside is a delight, set among graceful pines. The course is characterized by fast and authentic greens, many of them in elevated areas and protected by bunkers, inviting high tees and fairways that take sculpted doglegs on slopes.
